Settings & Configuration
Customize your CodeAI experience with profile settings, model preferences, themes, and integration options.
Profile Settings
Manage your personal information and account details:
- •Username: Your unique identifier on the platform
- •First Name: Your first name for personalization
- •Last Name: Your last name
Click "Edit Profile" to modify your information. Changes are saved immediately upon submission.
Model Preferences
Set your default AI model that will be used when starting new conversations:
Available Models
Note: Free plans have limited model access. Upgrade to access the latest models from Claude, OpenAI, and Google.
Theme Selection
Customize the appearance of CodeAI with different themes. Each theme includes:
- •Custom color schemes (primary, secondary, accent colors)
- •Background and surface colors
- •Text and border colors
- •Gradient effects and visual styling
Your theme preference is saved in localStorage and persists across sessions. The default theme is "Modern".
VS Code Integration Settings
When using CodeAI as a VS Code extension, you have additional integration options:
Add to CodeAI
Enable this option to allow CodeAI integration features in your VS Code development environment.
When enabled, you can insert code directly from chat responses into your editor, and the extension will have enhanced integration with your workspace.
Plan Information
Your current subscription plan and usage information is displayed in the header dropdown menu:
- •Plan Name: Your current subscription tier (Free, Explorer, Innovator, Solo, Master, Pro, Guru, or Enterprise)
- •Billing Period: Monthly or Annual billing cycle
- •Requests Remaining: Number of API requests left in your current billing period
Free plan users will see upgrade prompts when trying to access premium features. Click "Upgrade Plan" to view available subscription options.
Settings Persistence
Your settings are automatically saved and synchronized:
- •Profile Settings: Saved to your account on the server
- •Model Preferences: Stored in your account settings
- •Theme Selection: Saved in browser localStorage
- •VS Code Settings: Stored in VS Code configuration
